S.O.S: PLEASE HELP OUR INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT RENEWAL!

Posted by kmointer on July 22, 2012 at 4:55 AM Comments comments (0)

S.O.S: PLEASE HELP OUR INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT RENEWAL!

How are you today, hope all is well? We're getting back to you again after our

last month's mission report. This time in connection with international

passports of Ngozi and our kids that need to be renewed urgently.

If you could remember, we told you of the urgent need for us to travel to

Malaysia as soon as possible for re-issue of our international passport.

They'll all expire by the end of this year!

 (Kanayo, Ngozi & the kids)

As we said, Nigeria Immigration refused to renew them the last

time Kanayo traveled to Nigeria on vacation, insisting on physical appearance

of  all of them. The alternative place we can get it done is Malaysia and by our

estimation, it's going to cost us about $2, 825 (Two thousand eight hundred

and twenty five Dollars).

The consequence, if we fail to get them renewed is that Philippines

Immigration will not renew our annual visas which are due for renewal in few months time.

As the international immigration law states that international passports not valid

for six months can't be renewed.

Any failure on our side, will result to serious sanction by the Immigration Dept.here.

This as you know, will jeopardize our stay here in the Philippines.

Please we're soliciting your support in raising this amount in part or in full as

the good Lord would enable you. In case you desire to support us,

we've account in Nigeria where you can pay in your donation.

The information to the  accounts are:  Bank: GT Bank Plc, Acct. name:

KANAYO & NGOZI JUNE MISSION REPORT!

Posted by kmointer on July 1, 2012 at 7:15 AM Comments comments (0)

KANAYO  & NGOZI JUNE MISSION REPORT!

We continue to bless the God of hope,  who daily makes all joy and peace available to us here in the Philippines, as we continue to carry out His missionary mandate to us. He has not failed us and He's not about to, AMEN!

We've continued our mission efforts among the Badjao tribal people here in Dumaguete City and our church planting activities. It's becoming more challenging as aresult of our very low monthly budget. Most times we plan to go extra mile, but are always hindered by fund. Please help us pray for financial open doors that will enable us be more effective in our ministry.

(Kanayo with two of our Badjao brethren
at the Boulevard, Dumaguete City)

Another crucial challenge before us now is the renewal of  International Passports for Ngozi and our four kids. Their Passports are expiring by the end of this year. Meanwhile, we tried to renew them in Nigeria when Kanayo traveled for vacation last time, but the Immigration insisted they must all appear physically.

The next option left for us now is for them all to travel to Malaysia (the nearestplace it can be renewed), but we fear it's going to involve lots of fund. Theymust have their new passports before we start filing for our annual visa extension with the Philippines Immigration authorities.

(The missionary couple, Kanayo & Ngozi)

Pleaseinclude this challenge in your daily prayer list, as we continue to fix our hopes in God. Meanwhile  as we told you last time, Kanayo was able to open personal Naira accounts in two Nigeria banks with ATMs, when he traveled to Nigeria. This is to facilitate donations to our mission work here.

The information to the accounts are:  Bank: GT Bank Plc, Acct. name: Succesess Kanayo Uchime,  Acct. Number (Naira) 0115100140

Bank:Access Bank Plc, Acct. name: Success Kanayo Uchime,  Acct. Number (Naira): 0056260720

Once again, thanks for your support and as usual, we request that you help usmobilize for prayer awareness in your church/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel can help us in prayers!

 Regards!

Service, but the few that God ordained to be there made several pledges of support to us.

(Kanayo ministering in another Nigerian church)

Kanayo was also able to open personal Naira accounts in two Nigerianbanks with ATMs in order

to facilitate donations to our mission work here.

The information to the  accounts are:  Bank: GT Bank Plc, Acct. name: Succesess Kanayo Uchime,

(Kanayo on arrival at Dumaguete domestic airport,Philippines)

Please help us thank God for those pledges and their quick and speedy fulfillment. Help us also

thank God for the safe trip granted to Kanayo,

as he was able to rejoin with his  entire familyagain.

Once again, thanks for your support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer

awareness in your church/fellowships

and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails

KANAYO & NGOZI MISSION REPORT!

Posted by kmointer on April 6, 2012 at 12:55 AM Comments comments (0)

OUR MARCH 2012 MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT!

We praise and thank God for His faithfulness over us! What seemed impossible to us was made possible by Him.

The Lord as usual provided, but only Kanayo was able to travel to Nigeria for the vacation. Ngozi couldn’t not travel for obvious reasons, but we trust God that by next year the two of us would be able to travel together.

He traveled on March 26 and is available for invitations to churches/fellowship centers to share what the Lord is doing in the Philippines through our ministry. Kanayo can be contacted through this Nigerian GSM # +234-812-8933-661 or this email.

(Ngozi and our kids in the Philippines)

The major purpose for the travel is to appreciate brethren who had in one way or the other supported us these past four years of our missionary work in the Philippines. Again, we also intend to solicit more support from Nigerians, that’ll enable us fulfill our numerous visions.

As a result of this we’re planning for a Thanksgiving Service, with the theme as “In Support of World Missions.” Again, the idea is to bring together our numerous supporters and also the intending ones.

The event by the grace ofGod will come up on Sunday, May 6, at 3.30PM prompt, but the venue is yet to be fixed, we'll get you posted on that. Please we need your prayers as we’re not leaving anything to chance. Pray that God will provide all that is needed to fix the event and that He’ll lay a special burden for mission support in the hearts of our invited guests.

Once again, thanks for your support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer awareness in your church/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feelcan help us in prayers!

WE ARE STILL COUNTING DOWN !

Posted by kmointer on March 1, 2012 at 7:50 AM Comments comments (0)

WE ARE STILL COUNTING DOWN ON OURMISSION VACATION TO NIGERIA!

Our gratitude goes to Jehovah for the grace to be alive to witness the new month-March and to you also for always being there for us. May the good Lord continue to keep and bless you in Jesus name!

February has remained the most traumatic month for us since we came here in the Philippines in 2008 to start our long-term mission work, having witnessed the terrible effects of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that devastated this part of the Philippines.

(Missionaries Kanayo & Ngozi Uchime)

Immediately after that hurrible incidence, our daughter Nkeoma celebrated her 18th birthday, that was on February12th and it was a time to give God thanks for His deliverance and protection. Please commit her to God in your prayer as she rounds off her 2nd year in the University this March!

We’re still counting down on our proposed summer vacation to Nigeria this March ending and our proposed date still remains 25th– 30th depending on the availability of flight on any of the dates.

But the great challenge still remains that up till date, we’ve not purchased our air-tickets. We need to hurry in order to avail the cheaperrate that’s fast closing. We strongly believe that the Lord will do it for us. Our faith is so high and we are very optimistic about it! So, please continue to pray along with us for divine intervention, for with God all things must remain possible.

Just as we mentioned in our last mail to you, we still request our friends in Nigeria that wish to donate toward our travel to call any of these numbers for details on how to do so: 08023657067 or 018933341. Those outside Nigeria may log on to our website: www.kmointer.webs.com/giveyourdonation.htm for other ways to donate

WE ARE SAFE AND SOUND!

WE’RE SAFE AND SOUND!

We just want to reiterate thatwe survived the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that hit part ofthe Philippines on Monday February 6. We do this because alot of people called and even sent emails showing concernabout our safety. We’ve made several write-ups on ourFacebook page, but we realized that some of our friendsaren’t on Facebook.

(Kanayo& Ngozi looking forward to their vacation to Nigeria!)

We’re not affecteddirectly, as a lot of people died and some are stillmissing, but we’re all highly traumatized to say theleast, as it shook even the foundation of our house. We onlyhad serious after shocks, but we’ve come over italready.

Sincerely speaking the quakewas very terrifying; we haven’t seen a thing like thatbefore all our lives. It’s better imagined thanexperienced!  Momentarily we thought the whole earthwas closing up on us, but at the heat of it all, we trustedHim who sent us on this journey and, we’re notconsumed by it - praise God!

Yes! Still on our vacation toNigeria this March, we’re still trusting Jehovah forbreakthrough – not bought our air-tickets yet. But onething we did is to open an account in Nigeria for any of ourNigerian friends that wish to donate and the numbers to callfor details are: 08023657067 or 018933341. While thoseoutside Nigeria can contact us directly here in thePhilippines or donate through our website: http://kmointer.webs.com/giveyourdonation.htm.

KANAYO & NGOZI MISSION REPORT!

Posted by kmointer on January 30, 2012 at 7:25 AM Comments comments (1)

OUR JANUARY 2012 MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT!

We praise God for His mercies in our lives andmay His name be glorified at all time! Although the month of January was verychallenging to us as we were somehow  affected by the trouble in Nigeria, but the good Lord still saw us through and we are convinced that He'll continue to see usthrough in all our endeavors in Jesus name!

Despite all the challenges, we’ve continuedour ministry to the Badjao tribal people, meeting with them every Thursday atthe Boulevard area here in Dumaguete City. Our resolve and commitment is toensure that every Badjao that comes into the City will hear the gospel at leastones, therefore, please, keep praying for us!

(Kanayo, Ngozi & kids, looking
forward to a vacation to Nigeria)

Again, we are still having a countdown on thedate for our proposed mission vacation to Nigeria and we’ve barely one monthleft to our scheduled date i.e. end of March. We are delighted to hear that oneof the airlines that fly Nigeria gives discount to missionaries.

It then means that, instead of paying $2, 100each - the current regular price for return ticket, we’ll only pay $1, 200 ($2,400 for two of us) and this is for a limited number of people for 2012.

It’s our heart desire to avail this promo immediatelyas fund is made available to us. So, again, please commit this to prayer, as webelieve that God will really answer us, for nothing is impossible with Him!

Once again, thanks for your prayer support andas usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer awareness in yourchurch/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friendsyou have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel canhelp us in prayers!

SEASONAL GREETINGS FROM KANAYO & NGOZI!

Posted by kmointer on January 1, 2012 at 12:05 AM Comments comments (0)

SEASONAL GREETINGS FROM KANAYO & NGOZI!

Thank God you made it to 2012! As we welcome you into this new year, we wish you a happy and prosperous NEW YEAR! It’s our prayer that this year 2012 will be a year of great expectations from God for you. We rejoice each time we remember you in our prayer and just like the apostle Paul, we say: “I thank my God every time I remember you… I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now” (Philippians 1:3-6).

We praise the Lord for 2011, it was a year of many blessings for us and we expect that in 2012 we’ll experience greater blessings of God in our lives and ministry here in the Philippines. And with the assurance of your continued support to us we’ll be able to tread on new grounds.

(Missionaries Kanayo & Ngozi Uchime)

(Kanayo & Ngozi ministering to the Badjao tribal people in Dumaguete city)

Remember we told you in our last report about our 2011 Christmas party for the Badjao tribal people, yes! It was actually held, though the Badjao people were mourning the death of their loved ones during the last “sendong” typhoon that hit the Philippines, but lots of them were able to turn out for the event. The good Lord helped us and provided what we needed for the party.

Again, we are now having a countdown on the date for our proposed furlough to Nigeria and we’ve barely two months left to go. Our greatest challenge still remains the purchase of our tickets for the travel by March; we have missed some good rates before now and the prices keep changing per day.

Please remember us in your personal prayer over this very important issue in our lives, as the furlough will greatly enable us take vacation to our country Nigeria, where we intend to appreciate those who’ve been supporting us here this past three years, and also request for new supporters.

Once again, thanks for your support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer awareness in your church/fellowships. You may also help us to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel can help us in prayers!

PHILIPPINES FLOOD DISASTER VICTIMS CRY FOR HELP

Posted by kmointer on December 26, 2011 at 1:55 AM Comments comments (0)

The recent typhoon ‘sendong’ that took place in parts of the Philippines as you’re aware devastated a lot of homes and left so many people dead and homeless, with many losing their hard-earned property. It was really so bad, especially here in Dumaguete City where we’re based.

Also affected are the Badjao tribal people that we’re ministering to. Their case is so pathetic in the sense that no one speaks for them, being a highly marginalized and stigmatized people here in the Philippines. They lost a lot also – many killed by the flood, their sources of livelihood like canoes, which they usually use as their living accommodation washed away, but no one talks about their plight, incidentally.

(Our 2011 Christmas party for the Badjao tribal people)

The irony is that they’re not benefitting from the relief materials being distributed at present by the mainline churches and organizations, this is too bad!

During our last Christmas party for them on December 22, most of them complained to us so bitterly by lamenting on their many loses and the little we had couldn’t go around. No one listens to them – they’re not in the plan of the Government, churches or other donor agencies. But we know that they’re in the plan of God!

Based on the foregoing, we’ve decided to open up a special appeal for them, hoping that someone somewhere will hear and come over to help them. They’ve never had a home for themselves being nomadic people and they usually stay along the shorelines, which predisposes them to dangers such as the recent flooding. So the little they’ve is no more!

(The few we could share with the Badjao people!)

So, please whatever you’ve to share with them, we promise to be a good custodian of that by ensuring that it gets to them adequately. Your one Dollar ($1) or so can make a great difference in their lives.
