HELP US HELP THE BADJAO TRIBAL POPLE!

How’re you today, hope all is well with you? We bless the Lord God for His ever faithfulness over us here in the Philippines, even as we bring before you the case of our target people group – the Badjao tribal people in the Philippines.

Yes! In our last report, we hinted you about our plans to host the Badjao in a Christmas party this December 22. This is just to let you know that we’re still pushing through that plans and it'll interest you to note that the one of last year is still very fresh in their mind..

(One of our meetinngs with the Badjao people!)

What we do is simply to provide an opportunity for them to join the rest of us in celebrating Christmas, as to most of them; this might be their first time of celebrating the great event!

(These homeless Badjao people needs your support)

For us to be able to package this event as we did last year, a lot will be needed, ranging from gift to food items and in fact other spiritual activities that’ll enable them have a feel of what Christmas represents.

We, therefore are requesting these gift and food items from friends and other well wishers and we would like you to commit it to prayer for God to make a way for us in that direction. But then, if while you’re praying, the Lord lays something in your heart to donate toward this event, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

(Our last year's Christmas party with the Badjao tribal people)

Please note that the date for the party is still Thursday, December 22 by 2.00 pm at the Boulevard area, Rizal Avenue, Dumaguete City.

Once again, thanks for your prayer support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer awareness in your church/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel can help us in prayers!

KANAYO & NGOZI MISSION REPORT!

OUR NOVEMBER 2011 MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT!

Once more we thank God for His mercies over us here in the Philippines as we continue to look up to Him by faith. God has really been so merciful to us; He never allowed us to see any evil – praise Him for that!

Our mission van we told you someone gave to us is being put to effective use now, only that it still requires some serious fixing for it to be more effective. Please help us pray for the necessary funds for the fixing!

(Our invitation to the Thanksgiving service)

Imagine how time flies, our young church – God’s Presence Fellowship (GPF) is already one year - praise God! As a result of this, we are putting together a thanksgiving service on December 4 to mark the day. Also put it in your prayer list and as the Lord blesses you, please make efforts to send us your thanksgiving offering.

Again, our work with the Badjao tribal people has continued unstopped and we've started planning our usual annual Christmas party celebration for them. The very first one we had last year has remained a memorial to lots of them. Please join us in prayer as we plan for the party on Thursday, December 22 at the Boulevard area, Dumaguete City.

                (Ngozi serving the Badjao people)

You remember we told you of our intended mission furlough for March 2012. Yes, we’re still pursuing it! The good Lord keeps confirming that He wants us to proceed on vacation to Nigeria after over three years of meaningful mission work here in the Philippines. But the only serious challenge before us as we mentioned earlier is purchasing an early ticket, so please help us to pray for open heavens as early as possible!

(Our last year's Christmas party wit the Badjao tribal people)

Once again, thanks for your prayer support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer awareness in your church/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel can help us in prayers!

KANAYO & NGOZI MISSION REPORT!

Posted by kmointer on October 31, 2011 at 12:50 AM Comments comments (0)

OUR OCTOBER 2011 MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT!

We bless the good Lord for the concluding month – October, as we bring you lots of praise reports from our base here in Dumaguete City, Philippines. The Lord has continued to bless and also re-assure us that His presence is perpetually with us, just as He promised: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age,” Matt. 28:20).

The very first is that we now have a mission van – praise God! It was actually donated to us by a friend here and we’ve since put it into effective ministry use. The only challenge is that it requires some fixing – both the body and engine, so we need prayers for the provision of funds enough for it and by the estimates we’ve collected, it’s going to cost close to $1, 000.

(The mission van, though in use already, but still needs fixing!)

Second, our daughters – Nkeoma and Miracle have fully enrolled for the 2nd semester in the university, Nkeoma is taking Mass Com 2nd year while Miracle is in 1st year Information Technology. Also Kanayo has enrolled for his last and final semester for his Masters program in English language, he started two years ago, please help us praise God for all these!

Then thirdly, our 2nd daughter, Miracle celebrated her 16th birthday on Sunday, 30th October and the Lord provided enough for the celebration which took place after our worship service.

Our next immediate challenge now is purchasing early tickets for our mission furlough by March 2012 that we mentioned in our last report. As we said, it’s going to be an opportunity for us to visit home after over three years of a successful mission work here in the Philippines and what’s more, we’ll use that time to appreciate those who’ve supported us and also ask God for new ones.

(Kanayo, Ngozi and our kids celebrating the mission van)

Once again, thanks for your prayer support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer awareness in your church/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel can help us in prayers!

PLEASE HELP US PRAY FOR OUR FURLOUGH!

Posted by kmointer on October 19, 2011 at 1:55 PM Comments comments (0)

PLEASE HELP US PRAY FOR OUR INTENDED MISSION FURLOUGH!

It gladdens our hearts each time we remember that you’re always there for us. We’ll keep counting on your support and the good Lord will continue to keep and bless you in Jesus name!

First and foremost we’ve to praise God for answering our prayers – you remember in our last September report we did express our desire to renew our visas with the immigration, yes! The good Lord did it – He provided the funds and we’ve gone to Cebu to file our papers, praise God!

(Kanayo and Ngozi the missionary couple)

But, our next greatest challenge now is getting an early ticket for our intended mission furlough by end of March 2012, which we also mentioned in our last report. As we said, we really desire to buy an early ticket with a highly reduced price as it keeps going up per day and we need to do something immediately. The vacation will be a time for us to visit home after over three years of serving the Lord faithfully here in the Philippines, Southeast Asia as missionaries.

It’ll also be a time for us to go and appreciate those who’ve been supporting us here (financially, prayerfully and emotionally) moreover, we’ll also take out time to make requests for new mission supporters. The travel then is so important to us and very strategic also! So, please help us pray for the required funds that’ll enable us purchase our tickets as early as possible and thereby save some funds.

Posted by kmointer on September 28, 2011 at 11:35 PM Comments comments (0)

OUR SEPTEMBER 2011 MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT!

How’re you today, hope all is well with you? We bless the Lord for the great things He’s doing in our lives here in the Philippines and we also bless the Lord for your "going" with us through all your supports!

You remember last time we sent a save-our-soul message on behalf of our Badjao tribal people here in Dumaguete City. Yes! We still believe God for a breakthrough for them, as we’re still praying for God’s intervention to get them a place of refuge. We believe it’s high time for the Badjao brethren here to be fully resettled and for sure we can’t achieved it without your unalloyed support!

(Ngozi helping the Badjao people)

Again, hope you’re still praying for our mission furlough back to Nigeria by end of March 2012. We really feel it’s the right time for us to proceed on vacation after over three years fruitful mission work here in the Philippines. The challenge before us as we mentioned earlier is buying an early air ticket with a highly reduced price, hence the price is increasing per day and we need to act now. So please help us pray for funds that’ll enable us purchase our tickets on time.

Further more, our yearly visas renewal is up once again and we’re looking up to God for additional funds to travel to Cebu City to get them renewed by next week. So please commit it to pray!

Please, if after praying, and you feel strongly that the good Lord is leading you to give toward these mission needs, don’t hesitate to do so. To donate, you may do so through this our website: http://www.kmo-inter.org/index.php/donations-a-offerings. Or you may write or call us for further clarifications.

(Some homeless Badjao people, they really need your help!)

Once again, thanks for your prayer support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer awareness in your church/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel can help us in prayers!

S.O.S: Save-Our-Soul; Help us Help the Badjao Tribal People!

Posted by kmointer on September 13, 2011 at 10:15 AM Comments comments (0)

We’re glad coming over to you again, this time to seek your unalloyed support for our Badjao tribal people here in Dumaguete City, Philippines. During our usual Thursday fellowship with them at the Boulevard area, we noticed an unprecedented turnout, which we’ve never seen in recent times. But it wasn’t long after the fellowship; they told us that there is a renewed killing in their volatile homeland – Zamboanga, Minadanao region, known for all kinds of violence.

(Ngozi serving the Badjao during one of our fellowships)

This scenario therefore resulted to lots of them being displaced – a usual occurrence among the Badjao people, as they always fall victim whenever there is violence in and around their homeland. Some of them in narrating their experiences said they had to abandon their families and loved ones and expressed strong desire to have them relocated here in Dumaguete city.

The challenge then on us is our inability to raise the necessary funds to provide a temporary accommodation for so many of them (about 50) who’re at present relocated here, as the Government usually turn deaf ears to their plights. We, as a result are planning to rent an empty piece of land in a very remote area of the city here, where we can erect make-shift houses as a temporary resettlement for them, pending when the Government or any non-governmental-organization (NGO) would be able to come to their rescue!

The Bible enjoins us to be our brother's keeper and we’re just out to accomplish that in the lives of these marginalized and often times stigmatized Badjao trial people. They really need your support! This as you rightly know has predisposed them to appreciate the love of Jesus our Lord and to also walk in obedience to His words.

(One of our fellowships with the Badjao)

The first thing we would want you to do is to lift them up in prayers and, if in the process, the good Lord lays it in your heart to send a financial support toward the project, please don’t hesitate to contact us! To donate, you may do so through this link: http://www.kmo-inter.org/index.php/donations-a-offerings).  Or you may write or call us for further clarifications.

Thanks so much as you make yourself available to bear the burden of these less privileged and downtrodden ones.

OUR AUGUST MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT!

Posted by kmointer on August 30, 2011 at 8:25 AM Comments comments (0)

OUR AUGUST 2011 MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT!

We are always so joyful whenever we learn that you're constantly there for us! Hope all is still well with you? As for us here in the Philippines, we're still moving by faith, thanking Jehovah for all his compassion on us!

Remember, in one of our reports to you, we did mention about our intended mission furlough (vacation) to Nigeria next year. Yes, we really need to retreat a little while after spending three full years here in the mission field. The need for that is so much, first we've to go and say thank you to a whole lot of people who've and are still supporting us, some, have not even seen us before. More so, we also need to go and raise more supporters for greater tasks ahead of us.

(Kanayo with some of our kids!)

Our intended period of travel is end of March 2012, but the greatest challenge before us now is raising funds for our airtickets as we plan to make an advance purchase (at least by this September or October) so it becomes cheaper after all. So, please commit it to prayer as we believe God for sponsors and if the good Lord blesses you as He'll always do, remember to be a blessing to us!

Again, hope you remembered one of our converts (Mrs. Dayan) we told you that they stabbed the husband to death? Yes, we've good news from her, she has just put to bed and we were there to pray and rejoice with her family. Please commit her to prayer; she had high blood pressure after delivery, thinking always about her late husband!

(Kanayo & Ngozi with Sis. Dayan's family)

We are still having exciting time with our Badjao brethren every Thursday afternoon at the Boulevard area here in Dumaguete City. It's a great opportunity and pleasure for us ministering to them; please also commit our work with the Badjao people to prayer as we need a lot of financial support to be ever-relevant in our work amongst them.

Further to that in our effort to reposition and repackage our ministry here, we've decided to build a new and secured website. It's still under development, you may just take a tour, especially our donation page, if incase the Lord is laying something in your heart to bless us with (www.kmo-inter.org/index.php/donations-a-offerings).

(Ngozi serving the Badjao people!)

Posted by kmointer on July 31, 2011 at 7:53 AM Comments comments (0)

OUR JULY 2011 MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT!

How’re you doing today, hope you’re doing great? We bless the Lord God for His faithfulness over our lives here in the Philippines!

We’ve a praise report! Remember, we wrote you some two weeks ago about our Open Air Revival we tagged: “Going A Fishing.” Yes we praise God, it was actually held on July 30, 2011 as proposed and our good Lord really and assuredly manifested his faithfulness and glory. We had some people signing our decision cards!

(Ngozi, presenting our gifts to sis. Dayan (center) with her kids)

The location we held the crusade is notorious for crime and all kinds of vices to the extent that most churches are scared of having anything to do in the place, but the Lord spoke to our heart to go there for revival and He really enabled us to penetrate the area.

It’ll really interest you to note that something remarkable happened there two weeks to our revival. The husband of one of our new converts there, Sis. Dayan, was stabbed to death (he refused our message), just to let you know how deadly the place is, but we were not deterred by it and went on with the revival and God proved himself. With the support we got, we were able to minister material things to the pregnant widow and her two children.

Flowing from the success we recorded at this inaugural event, we’re being led to make it a regular program, so it’ll be coming up in different barangays (local govt. units) every two months. This’ll enable us saturate all the barangays in Dumaguete City in the nearest future with God’s word!

(Our praise team during the revival)

We had a serious predicament, our audio system couldn’t work perfectly (we had to use what we have, while still trusting God for better equipment) and there was also no mobility to move our men and equipment. And more essentially, we were seriously restricted by paucity of funds to run publicity and other essential logistics.

As a result of these, we, therefore desire to have lots of partners (prayer and financial) to go with us as that’ll enable us to run with this heavenly vision. And if you know any one or organization that will be willing to partner with us, please let us know immediately, or maybe you desire to donate toward this godly project, just click here: http://www.kmo-inter.org/index.php/donations-a-offerings.

(Ministering the word during the revival)

Once more, thanks for your prayer support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize for prayer awareness in your church/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel can help us in prayers!

PLEASE STAND WITH US IN PRAYER!

Beloved in Christ!

To God be the Glory, we’re getting back to you again after our last month’s mission report we sent to you! Hope that all is well with you and that you’re praying for us? It's our prayers that the Lord will continue to bless and keep you in Jesus name!

(Kanayo & Ngozi Uchime - the
Nigerian missionaries in the Philippins)

Well, we sincerely need you to stand in agreement with us as we pursue this our heavenly vision of taking the gospel to the people, where they are, even in the remotest places here in the Philippines! We’re about to kick-start our series of open air revivals in suburbs around our church location and from there we'll launch out to all the other Barangays (Local Govt. Units) in Dumagaute City and beyond.

This inaugural revival is so important to us, that we don’t want to leave it to chance at all and, that’s why we’re requesting for your partnership (prayer & financial). Our date is June 30, 2011 (just a day), by 7.00 pm and the location is Purok Orchids in Barangay Calindagan here in Dumaguete City, and we’ve just got all the necessary permits from the various authorities. We have also done and continue to do our spiritual mapping of the area and to God be the glory; a lot of revelations are coming up!

The revival which we tagged: “Going a Fishing,” we believe will trigger an unprecedented transformation in the lives of the people and the glory will only go to our Lord Jesus. The project is going to cost us a lot to fix, as we're looking at about $2, 300 budget, which will go into all the logistics, equipment/materials, publicity, Christian gift items like Bibles (New/Old Testaments) etc.

We’re moving by faith and we sincerely believe that nothing is impossible for God to do! And we’ll keep trusting Him for provision, so help us in prayer! And, if as you pray, the Lord lays in your heart to contribute financially, please click here: http://kmointer.webs.com/giveyourdonation.htm

KANAYO & NGOZI MISSION REPORT!

OUR JUNE 2011 MISSION REPORT/PRAYER ALERT

Once again we thank and bless the Lord for the month of June! The month was a very significant one; on the 5th we actually marked our three years in the Philippines. How time flies!

We reflected on so many events that took place prior to our travelling out of Nigeria - we remembered how the Lord enabled us to raise all our travelling expenses within the shortest possible time. We also reflected on all of our frustrations while preparing to travel down to the Philippines in 2008 and the climax was missing our connecting flight in Dubai International Airport and how we got delayed for a day. And when we reflected on all these, all we could say was thank you Lord for your mercies endure for ever!

(Ministering to the Badjao tribal people)

Having stayed this long, far away from home, we’ve started thinking of going back to Nigeria for our mission furlough may be sometime in the first quarter of 2012. It’ll be a time to go and say thank you to a whole lot of people who had supported us and also those who're still supporting us here. Some have not even seen or known us, but still sent their financial support to us! Some also have been praying relentlessly for us and even some have sent words of encouragements.

So, we really need to go home to appreciate all these people. We’ll let you know when the time draws near and we need your prayer as we work out the appropriate time for that.

Our mission work among the Badjao people is continuing unhindered to the glory of God! We’ve witnessed lots of them coming out for our Thursday fellowship at the Boulevard – they’re really thirsty to hear the word of God. Please pray for transformation to take place in their lives!

(One of our cellgroup meetings)

Also the church planting work we started some few months ago in the same Boulevard is going on. We’ve started a cell group in a neighboring barangay (local govt. unit) – Calindagan and the good Lord is blessing the work there. We desire to see a transformation in the whole barangay as we’re now planning for an open air revival by the end of July.

We therefore need a lot of support – prayer and financial so as to accomplish these heavenly visions that our Lord has laid in our hearts!

We need to let you know also that our kids are really doing well in their various schools only that it’s getting too challenging for us sponsoring all of them at the same time and we definitely need God’s intervention to march on. We don't want to see them dropping out from school as a result of financial challenges!

And further to that we need your prayers on the last March Mission Support Raising we did in Nigeria, only one person has actually redeemed his pledge and that has put us in a very serious financial difficulty. If all had come, we would've been smiling by now!

(Here we go Kanayo dropping-off the kids to school with our new bike. We desire something better than this!)

Once more, thanks for your prayer support and as usual, we request that you help us mobilize prayer awareness in your church/fellowships and also to forward this mail to as many Christian friends you have. Or better still to send us emails of your friends that you feel can help us in prayers!
