OUR JULY MISSION REPORT!
Praise God for July and all He enabled us to accomplish. Glory and praise be to His holy name! We’re gradually coping with the sad departure of daughter Nkeoma, though it has not been so easy, but wethank God for all thinks.
You remember in our last mail, we told you of our intention to mark our 5th year of successful and enduring mission workhere in the Philippines. Yes we did celebrate! The date was July 5, and it was a time of family-bonding and stock-taking. We reflected on our desire to retire back to Nigeria to continue with the inland mission there, and since then we’ve been seeking the face of the Lord.
(Reflecting back: In 2008, Kanayo & Ngoziwith Pastor Dave, a SEAMIST Director, during our mission training)
We’re glad to inform you thatwe’ve come to the conclusion to return back to Nigeria as soon as possible. We’re getting convinced that theLord still have a lot of work for us to do in Nigeria, and we’re ready to take the challenge. We’re only deeply concerned now about the timing- we want to move basedon God’s timing. That’s the reason why we’ve resolved to visit Nigeria early next year, as we intend to consult with some of our mentors for proper guidance. This becomes necessary as a lot of things need tobe put in
place in Nigeria before our eventual final exit sometime in the nearest future.
Further to that we’lluse our visit to Nigeria to mark the 1st anniversary of our late daughter, Nkeoma, and also fix a mission awareness thanksgiving. Then on coming back to the Philippines, we’ll set a date for the final exit.
1. Please help us pray for God’s wisdom and guidanceas we embark on this our plan. Our proposed visit to Nigeria will cost a lot of money, pray for God’sprovision.
2. Pray for our weekly Badjao fellowship at the Boulevard area here in Dumaguete City, that God will sustain the work He alone started through us.
3. Pray as we trust God for more monthly donors for our numerous mission projects.
4. Pray also for our annual visa renewals with the immigration this month, it usually costs us alot.
(Still reflecting: the entire family in SEAMIST office onour arrival in 2008)
